Golf Lesson Participant Guidlines

Golf Burnaby’s PGA of Canada Golf Professionals are committed to providing a safe environment for students. 
Please familiarize yourselves with these protocols for your safety and ours:

GENERAL: Lessons available by pre-registration – please call to register at the site you wish to attend. You may pay by credit card over the phone or by TAP payment on site. For safety purposes, plexi-glass screens have been installed at the sales counter. Keep in mind that there are no more than 3 guests permitted in the golf shop at a time. Arrive no more than 15 minutes prior to your appointed time – staff will advise of instructor’s location. Follow signage and ground markings to promote physical distancing and safe flow of traffic. Wash hands with soap and water or sanitize before and after entering the driving range area. Hand sanitizing stations are situated throughout the property • If you cough or sneeze, use a tissue or into your bended elbow and wash or sanitize your hands immediately afterwards. Please do not attend if you are feeling unwell, your lesson will be rescheduled (or credited) without penalty. 


Lessons will be offered as long as social distancing procedures are followed. Keep a minimum distance of at least 2m/6ft from other golfers and staff. No shaking of hands, hugging, or touching. Your instructor won’t position you, nor touch your equipment and belongings. The student is the only person to touch their own belongings and must tee up their own golf balls. Do not touch other student’s equipment or range balls • Driving Range stall spacing is 10-13 feet. Instructor will be situated in adjacent stall Instructors will use an alignment stick (or similar item) to help with player positioning • Single customer access to ball dispensing area.


Communication of safety protocols will be conveyed to participants at start of lesson • Employees are trained on enhanced cleaning, disinfecting and sanitizing procedures. All touch points are sanitized by staff– ball dispenser touch points are sanitized every 30 minutes and range stalls after each lesson. Range buckets, tees, training tools, and equipment rentals are also thoroughly disinfected sanitized between lessons and/or after each use.  For jobs requiring Personal Protective Equipment, staff will use and maintain the assigned PPE in an effective and safe manner.
