Located in north Burnaby, Burnaby Mountain Golf Course has been consistently rated as one of the most popular places to play in the lower mainland. This classic course can be both challenging and forgiving, making it popular with both low-handicappers and novices. The 5,800-6,400 yard layout features natural tree-lined fairways and gentle rolling terrain, and offers a unique blend of charm, challenge and serenity.

Driving Ranges

The Burnaby Mountain Driving Range is open to the public from 9 am through to 10:45 pm, last balls are sold at 10:00pm. During busy times you may be required to wait for a stall. Weekday maintenance may temporarily delay the opening of the range.

Pro Shop

Located just east of the clubhouse, our full-service pro shop offers brand name golf equipment and golf attire at competitive prices. We provide golf club, pull-cart and powercart rentals. Our PGA of Canada professionals are also available for lessons and custom club fitting.

The pro shop is open during the same hours as the golf course.

Rentals

Golf Burnaby offers a variety of rental options. If you're visiting from out of town and need a set of clubs, or if you're new to the game and want to borrow a club or two to have some fun on the range—we have you covered! We also rent push carts with umbrella holders and power carts to make your round of golf enjoyable in any conditions.

Clubhouse

The Burnaby Mountain Clubhouse is nestled amongst the scenic, lush green fairways and offers a cozy atmosphere for "19th hole" refreshments. Or enjoy a meal any time with family or friends on our patio. With a multitude of catering and event services, it’s also the perfect place for your next function. About Our Course

Hole #1 (par 5)

A fun opening hole. Off the tee, straight is better than long as the trees narrow the farther you go. A solid second shot will leave you with a manageable approach to a fairly open green.

Hole #2 (par 4)

This hole is a little harder than the first. A good drive will leave you with a downhill approach to the green. Be careful not to hit over the green, as there's little chance for recovery. Going down a club on the approach is best.

Hole #3 (par 5)

A long par 5 with water in front of the green—only the foolhardy attempt to get on in 2! Two solid shots to the front of the pond will leave you with a manageable approach to the pin. The downhill lie on the approach will result in some topped shots, so be sure to strike solidly.

Hole #4 (par 3)

The first of the par 3’s, this hole is more uphill than it appears. Be sure to take enough club to get there. The green is also tricky, as it is more sloped than it looks. Multiple putts are not uncommon if you're starting above the hole.

Hole #5 (par 4)

Finally a downhill tee shot. This drive looks easy, but the trees on the left can block your approach shot if you tug your drive a little. Aim slightly right of centre. That'll give you more room for your approach to a relatively unguarded green.

Hole #6 (par 3)

Three is a great score on this hole. The tee shot is uphill and most players leave their shot short. So take at least 1 more club. Once you're on the green, putts can be made on this relatively consistent green.

Hole #7 (par 4)

Finally an easier hole! This par 4 gives you a good chance to get a shot or 2 back. A solid drive will leave a manageable approach to the green and a chance to score. Don’t get greedy, though—sliced shots can easily go over the OB fence on the right.

Hole #8 (par 4)

The first of 4 difficult par 4’s. A good tee shot will go a long way to helping you survive this test. The creek that runs down the right side of the fairway can be intimidating, but missing the fairway into the trees on the left is not much better. Don’t be a hero if you don’t hit the fairway. Chip it out and give yourself a good look at the green.

Hole #9 (par 4)

This is fairly easy tee shot. The challenge comes from the green that slopes away from you. Don’t leave your approach shot short, as it's a challenge to get up and down from there.

Hole #10 (par 4)

A long par 4—most players think it should be par 4 ½! Two really good shots will get you there, but there is no shame in making a bogey here.

Hole #11 (par 4)

The last of the long par 4’s, here’s where you can swing away off the tee. The fairway is wide and the green is relatively unprotected, so you should make a good score here. Out of Bounds is to the left—so left-handed slicers beware!

Hole #12 (par 4)

A shorter par 4, this hole will require a straight tee shot to set up a comfortable second to the elevated green. Birdies are possible without hitting an extraordinarily long ball, so hitting 2 solid shots will be rewarded. Take note—the green is larger than it looks from the fairway.

Hole #13 (par 3)

Another solid par 3, the 13th will reward a good tee shot with a makeable birdie putt if you hit the green. Mishits to the left will lead to tree trouble and the trap on the right is no bargain either. A good honest hole.

Hole #14 (par 4 - 5 from the red tee box)

If you thought the other par 4’s were tough, “you ain’t seen nothin’ yet”. This long uphill par 4 will test every part of your game. Don’t challenge the dogleg on your drive, as only the longest of shots can leave you with an open approach to the green. Right-centre is the optimum drive direction. Once you can see the green, the uphill approach will require at least 2 extra clubs if you hope to get to the green. Once you're finally putting, you'll need to factor in the severe slope on the green.

Hole #15 (par 3)

The hardest par 3 on the course. Take a couple of extra clubs to reach the green and then watch out for the slope when putting. Avoid being above the hole at all costs, as your ball may roll a long way past the hole if you miss.

Hole #16 (par 5)

A reachable par 5 for big hitters. A left to right tee shot will give you a good look at the green on this downhill dogleg right. Big hitters can hit their tee shots through the fairway and out of bounds if they're not careful. Watch out for the creek that crosses the fairway and extends to the right of the green. Play smart and you'll have a good chance for birdie (or better).

Hole #17 (par 4)

Another good chance to get back at the course. A straight drive will leave you with a short approach shot. The green is sloped, but not as severely as 14 or 15, so putts can be made here.

Hole #18 (par 4)

A short 90 degree dogleg to finish, this can be an easy hole if you hit to the corner of the dogleg or a hard hole if you're short or long of the dogleg. Be precise with your tee shot and be rewarded with a short approach to a green that runs slightly away from you. Another good chance for a birdie.
